I’ve always loved reading. Growing up, I was a total book slut. I remember one summer I read so many books from the library, I can’t remember them all. While I enjoyed a good steamy romance now and then, I much preferred an escape into Fantasy or Science Fiction.

As I grew older, I fell in love with Erotica. Or perhaps it’s more like I fell in lust with it. Erotica these days tends to follow the old formula for romance. Alpha men who practically force themselves on a stubborn woman that tries to push her desires aside as sinful. While I enjoy that dynamic from time to time, I feel it’s a dated trope that the modern world doesn’t need. I longed for strong women who enjoy sex for the beautiful pleasure that it is instead of being ashamed of it.
